Not In Kansas

In motherhood, I often feel as though I have been lifted from my very foundation and dropped into an unknown land. This photo was taken at a restaurant with my children. Their markers reflected iridescently in a glass of wine. The monochrome and rainbow combination evokes this dual existence.
